Free Post: Friends

In a world of so much evilness and corruption and greed, its so hard to find true friends. When a true friend comes into your life, they should be cherished so much. Friends can come in so many forms and shapes, and they can bring so much joy and happiness into your life. Friends are just an extension of your family and should be treated as such.

Art On You Tube

when searching youtube.com for artwork many wonderful and great artworks were available. You tube, like many other web sites, have became venues for which artist can express and display their art for all of the world to see. This painting to the left is one of the many examples of you tube serving a bigger and bigger role for artist in such a global and internet-based society that we live in today.

Free Post: 1st year of college

My first year of college had some very, and yet bad experiences. The first year of college has opened my eyes to a whole new world of adulthood, responsibility, and time management all located within an educational environment. My first year has really helped me as a person to mature and discover myself as a student, but more importantly as a woman striving to make it in this very harsh world. College is a learning time period, once I make it through successfully with a college degree, I will appreciate it for all the beneficial aspects associated with it.

Diorama Drama

  • A diorama that taught me something I did not know.
  • During the presentations of the dioramas I came across on in particular that touched me. It was the one discussing the prevalence of child abuse in America. It really opened my eyes to just how many children are being abused in America roughly 3.5 million to be exact.

A diorama that is very creative

In my opinion the diorama portraying the horrible conditions America's beaches are in due to pollution was very creative. I thought the person who did this diorama put a lot of time and effort into their work of art.

I oppose the opinion of this diorama

The diorama concerning the issue of a playoff in college football did not sit well with me. I strongly oppose the idea of college playoff, plus at least in this near future, that is not feasible anyway. College football is so popular all across America as is "so if it ain't broke don't fix it".

I oppose the opinion of this diorama but i can see where he/she is coming from.

The diorama discussing big business corporations and the greed struck me two different ways. They argued the point that businesses do not cater to customers which is sometimes true. But of businesses did not care about there consumer then why would we continue to buy the product?

The artist of this diorama was really bold. How?

Divorce is a social issue that affecting millions of people across the world. The artist of this certain diorama did this hot topic just by doing a bold but yet classy diorama. I thoroughly enjoyed this artwork.

How did it feel for me as a diorama artist--

  1. It felt so good for me to express my feelings for a worldly issues through a creative medium such as a diorama.
  2. I felt scared but proud of my artwork at the same time. I was scared because I did not know how the reactions of my peers would be to my issue and how their opinions would affect me. I was also proud because i felt I did a very good job in my diorama and i believe i put forth my best effort.
  3. The creative process gave me insight into how an artist works and operates to create a beautiful peace of work. It was also a very good experience to express how I feel about a topic through an unordinary avenue.

Artist in Society

In today's society artist have a very unique role and position. Though we artist and their wonderful works that they contribute, we so often fail to recognize them as as productive citizens in the world and society. Artist so often have problems finding studio time to keep providing the world with the many awesome and inspiring artworks. Also artist struggle in finding venues to place their art so it can be viewed by the masses so they can get recognized by way of awards of the selling of their works.

Art and Film

The presence of art in film is more prevalent than most people will ever realize. It takes artist to make implement and act out every scene in a successful move. Most people are ignorant to the fact that it takes a tremendous amount of time to fully develop a film that will be remembered through the years and generations. Movies is a way an artist, the director, can express an idea or depiction onto a television for mass audiences. A movie is a piece of artwork no different than a beautiful painting from Picasso or Monet.

Poetry Slam-The Perfect Friend

It's hard to find a friend so patient, kind, and true.
It's hard to put someone dear and close to you.
But in you i found a true friend indeed,
a guy of good thought, word, and creed.
You make me smile, you make me laugh, and you also make me cry,
but I know that you will be the one, right there, to dry my eye.
You always know how to bring joy when there's pain,
even when the day begins to bring rain.
I never thought you'd be in my life,
through the good times and even through the strife.
I can call you when I'm happy, when I'm sad, or when I'm blue,
I know that you'll be the one to help me make it through.
Even when we're mad and we fight and we fuss,
there is reconciliation for the both of us.
You are my one true and dear friend,
You will always be with me to the very end.
I love, honor, and cherish you the most,
You are the number one guard standing at my post.
I'm here to tell you now or even tell you then,
YOU are my one and only PERFECT FRIEND!

I Know What Art Is

Michelangelo's painting of the Sistine Chapel is the definition of a beautiful work of art. This wonderful masterpiece shows one of the greatest artist to ever live at his best. The ceiling took years to paint and required a lot of time and talent that only a great artist like Michelangelo could put forth. The ceiling painting contains hundreds of scenes from the bible and is very symbolic. As long as I have truly appreciated art, this work always inspires me every time I look at it. If anyone where to ask me what is art, this painting would always be my example.

The Color Purple

Rarely is a film made that I would personally consider a work of art. One of those few exception would be The Color Purple. From the awesome cast of characters to the insightful and inspiring plot, this movie has it all. Anyone who has had the privilege to watch this movie in its entirety will not find it hard to agree with me concerning this movie. This movie was a off-shoot of Alice Walker's book of the same title. The movie was made famous when Oprah Winfrey and other celebrities starred in the all-time classic. This movie will always be an awesome work of art to me.

Human nature in art form

So often I have heard people say that a picture says a thousands words. In this case, this picture sums up the human nature in one click of a digital camera. The human nature that we as humans posses is good. When trouble arises its a result of bad influences from our environment. I chose this picture because it show the loving nature of human, an essential part of the human nature. We by nature love, but by experience and influences hate.

Human Condition in art form

This staircase at first glance seems to have no connection with the human condition. But once I sat there and really thought and analyzed its meaning, the connection was undeniable. A staircase is the perfect example of the human condition. No matter how far we go up and progress, there is always steps we can take to go higher and higher. The perfect and most desirable human condition will never be reached just like the top of the stairs in this picture. This picture correlates to the human connection almost identically. Just like in these steps the improvement of the human condition should be a daily step-by-step process.

The Media is a culture because...

The media and its many off-shoots are considered a culture to me for a number of reasons. The media world as a whole fits the definition of a culture through its behaviors, beliefs, institutions and works. The people who are involved and employed by media institutions all have this certain atmosphere around them that influences there views and outlook on life similar to that of a legitimate culture.

The art of Dance

Dance is a form of the arts. Like a pretty picture by Van Gogh, or a awesome sculpture by Auguste Rodin, dance is just as appreciated and effective. Through the graceful movements of the human body things can be portrayed and expressed. By way of dance art can be exhibited and seen for the greatness is encompasses.

Artist in Society

Weird is the role, expectations, recognition, and appreciation of the many gifted artist of this world. They give us so much inspiration, creativity, and talent through their art, yet they go mostly un-recognized. We as people of this ever changing society fail to see what we are losing when we do not embrace and support the art and the artist. Many things plaque the artist of today. The lack of money, and studio time are some of the things they deal with constantly. When society sees what artist have given, are giving, and will give, then they can be fully seen as great talents.

Human Behavior Art Form

Humans act and behave in very unique manners. The behavior of humans has always been unpredictable since the beginning of man. This painting, Motomichi, shows how at times the behavior of humans can be so cruel and ugly. This ugly and disfiguring painting shows how be as humans act so ugly toward our fellow man. We can lie, steal, and kill without any shame or guilt. We as humans sometimes can grow cold-hearted and behave in ways that are so contrary to the goodness and love we so often teach about.

Human struggle in art form

Since the existence of human beings, there has always been a struggle between many and various opposing forces and conditions. This picture to the right is a perfect example of the everlasting human struggle. This woman on the streets with her kids show how just the most basic concepts of just surviving is a component of the human struggle. Human always find a way to beat the struggle, improve, and progress though this picture to the right seems like a pessimistic outlook on life humans will persevere.

My favorite artist: Aaliyah

From age 12 when she signed a deal with Jive Records, to her untimely death Aaliyah was a one of a kind artist with a unique voice and grace unlike any other artist at the time. During her short life she worked with the likes of Missy Elliott,Timbaland, and R. Kelly. She also released three very sucessful albums that obtained high praise and record sales across the world. Unfortunately, in 2001 she and eight others were killed in a plane crash. At the time of her death she was reaching unprecedented sucess at such a young age and had already been dubbed the "Queen of Urban Pop".

Smoking

My opinion is very strong when it comes to smoking...Don't Do It! Smoking is the most dangerous legal thing I think that is out there. It is truly one awful habit to continue. If anyone ever ask me to ever have a smoke, I do not think my reaction would be pleasant. And the thing that bothers me the most about is that not only when you smoke are you harming yourself (which is your business), you are harming others more severely. Second hand smoke is more dangerous than first hand. My opinion is if you are going to smoke, smoke in a private area and not where others can be harmed. The act of smoking just makes me cringe. I simply just do not like smoking. O and let us not forget what it does to the lungs. It damages them and causes black tar build up and eventually lung cancer. What good comes out of anything involving smoking?

The Ultimate Driving Machine

Wow what do I say. The BMW is a priceless driving machine. It is a beautiful, sleek, and breath taking brand of automobile. No matter what year or what style, the company seems to produce a extraordinary car every year. It has truly earned its title as the ultimate driving machine. Every since my mom was a child, she has wanted a BMW, and she has now passed on the legacy. She has got one and now, for me, getting a BMW is a must have. I love the car from the inside and out. It has proven to show performance through its style and also under the hood. It is art form in the shape of a car. BMW...The Ultimate Driving Machine. Enough said.
